E-Bike Brands, Tours, and Charitable Giving
Take the guesswork out of where to go. Our experienced guides know all of the best trails and viewpoints for your skill level. At Escape Route, we offer two different types of guided tours. Our first type is a group tour, which is perfect for the solo adventurer or a couple looking to join others on a ride. These tours are designed with the beginner and intermediate rider in mind. Our second option is a private tour if you want to have the experience catered to you and your friends or family. For private tours, you can have up to 6 people per guide in your group, and can be set up by giving the Alpine Demo Center a call at (604) 962-3228.
We proudly carry Ohm Cycles, a Vancouver based company that has been leading the e-bike industry since 2005. We use the Ohm e-bikes as the standard for our group tours. The OHM Mountain 500s are capable and comfortable hard-tails, which have been specially modified for our tours. For performance, we’ve added low resistance tires to provide sure footed traction on the varied terrain you’ll encounter. We didn’t skip on comfort either. The gel seat, suspension seat post, and touring hand-grips make for a comfortable ride.
If you want a high performance, full-suspension ride, we offer Commencal’s Meta Power line of E-bikes. These smile-inducing bikes come in 27.5 or 29 wheel options, so whichever side of the debate you land on, we’ve got you covered. These capable bikes are perfect for tackling more challenging terrain in the Whistler Valley. They can be used during a guided tour for an additional fee, or can be rented on their own.
Bucks for Builders
To support the sustainability of the Whistler Valley Trails we created an initiative, Bucks for Builders, to donate a portion of every E-bike rental to the Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA). Escape Route, Ohm Cycles, and Commencal are proudly joining together to put money back into our beloved local trail association, and support the builders who keep the world-class trails in our valley maintained.
